As a Catholic college preparatory school, The Atonement Catholic Academy provides a comprehensive program of college and career counseling that involves students in all grade levels. All students in grades 9th through 11th take the PSAT each October to begin preparing for the SAT college entrance exam. The Testing Coordinator meets with the counselor and faculty to interpret scores and plan strategies for SAT practice.
In the 11th grade, the college application process begins in earnest, when college counselors meet with students twice a month during their second semester, to get each student started on their individualized college application process.
In the 12th grade, the college counselor works closely with each individual student throughout every phase of the application process to ensure that all students have the help they need to find the best college fit for them. In addition, the college counselor hosts many college admission representatives for school visits each year. Since the college selection process is a complex one involving the entire family, we strive to provide an array of college and career services which lead up to the selection of colleges by seniors.
Each year, a 100% of the graduating seniors choose to pursue further study at a college or university. The Atonement Catholic Academy considers one of its most important goals to be the students' thorough preparation, both spiritually and academically for the college years ahead. With this in mind, we encourage all students to make the most informed decisions possible by utilizing the many resources available. It is our goal to partner with students and parents in guiding and advising each student to the educational facility that best fits their individual needs and desires.
